I enjoy teaching students English, especially those who are seriously interested in applying their English skills to the real world. My specialty is the teaching of Medical English for a variety of healthcare professions (medical students, nursing students, nurses and doctors.) I have over 20 years experience working internationally in schools and in the field of hospice/palliative care.

体験レッスンに関して I assess the student's skill level through conversation and an interview. Based on the information gathered from this procedure, I present my demonstration lesson. My lessons provide the student with a great deal of opportunity to interact through reading, writing and speaking. For the medical/healthcare students, I also use simulations and role playing.
オンラインレッスンに関して I do not teach online.

I have spent over twenty years at the bedside of the terminally ill, providing palliative care as a Certified Hospice Nursing Assistant. This practical experience is what I use to create my medical English lesson plans. If you are looking for a conversation based approach to learning English, especially for the healthcare professions, this class is the one for you. I cover anatomy, disease process, pharmacy, patient interviews, family interaction and report writing. I ask my students to do most of the talking and practice their skills using real world situations. Everyone learns differently and at different paces - I adjust my lessons to meet your own particular needs.

I have been teaching English at the high school level for twenty years, and I have also been working as a Hospice Nursing Assistant in New York and Hawaii. My teaching of hospice care to high school students has taken me to India, Africa, Philippines, Belize and China. I am very comfortable with many cultures and traditions. I enjoy helping my students to learn English and to learn how to care for those who are seriously ill. I am learning Japanese, violin, shodo, iaido and the art of bonsai. These hobbies bring me great joy, and I add that joy to each lesson I teach. Let's learn together and help others with our knowledge.
